Spare Parts Puppet Theatre is seeking an exceptional Artistic Director & Co-CEO to lead the company’s artistic vision and jointly guide its organisational direction in partnership with the Executive Director. This senior leadership role places creativity at the heart of decision-making, overseeing programming, commissioning and production while nurturing artists, makers and creative teams across all stages of their careers. Working closely with the Board, partners and funders, the Artistic Director ensures artistic ambition is aligned with financial sustainability, strategic priorities and opportunities within the wider sector. Outward-facing and influential, the role contributes to national conversations on puppetry and theatre for young people, supports training and professional development pathways, and champions puppetry as a contemporary artform. With a proud history spanning more than four decades and an exciting new chapter ahead — including the opening of the Ellie Eaton Pavilion — this is a unique opportunity to shape the creative trajectory, reach and impact of a nationally and internationally recognised company.
