On behalf of Sydney Dance Company, REA arts + culture will commence an international search for its Artistic Director in October 2026.
Sydney Dance Company, Australia’s leading contemporary dance company, has been led since 2009 by Spanish-born Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela. Over the past 17 years the Company has cemented its international reputation as a creative force, with an acclaimed ensemble presenting new work by Bonachela and other choreographers, designers, composers and musicians, alongside delivering an extensive education and training program and the nation’s largest public dance class program.
To maintain the integrity and confidentiality of the process, REA arts + culture is not accepting enquiries or conducting discussions regarding the role at this early stage.
